ECS is seeking a Senior Software Developer to work in our Fairfax, VA office.
ECS is seeking a Senior Software Developer to support programs involving the evaluation, integration and transition of operationally-oriented technologies for U.S. military Special Forces and other government agencies. This position requires strong technical skills with prior experience in bringing together discrete systems utilizing a variety of techniques such as computer networking, enterprise application integration, and manual programming.
The candidate should have prior experience in computer applications, languages, technologies, advanced set-up and configurations, trouble shooting, and system design. This position will be performed in a multidisciplinary team environment with tight deadlines. The candidate must be highly motivated and familiar with applied research, advanced prototypes, and legacy systems.
In this position, candidates will have an exciting and fast-paced work environment with dynamic Government customers to promote leading edge Cloud architectures to the DoD community, while advancing traditional solutions in systems such as SharePoint and Oracle.
- U.S. citizenship required per contract.
- Active Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliant (current, or within 60 calendar days of hire); minimum Security+ certification.
- Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) discipline, with 10+ years of professional experience.
- 2 days per week onsite at ECS Corporate offices located in Merrifield, VA.
- Occasional trips to support activities at the Equinix Data Center located in Ashburn, VA.
- 10+ years of experience with:
- Java development
- SQL
- PKI, including an understanding of cryptography, key management, and network security
- Web/Application servers (Apache, Apache Tomcat, IIS)
- SAML integration and troubleshooting
- Development / troubleshooting cross-browser apps using HTML, Javascript, AJAZ and CSS
