The Position Job Title : Maintenance Engineer
Reports to : Maintenance Manager
The Position The Maintenance Engineer handles maintenance engineering and maintenance project engineering. Provides technical assistance, training, and facilitation support to the maintenance department. Also provides support to the mill's reliability improvement process by defining appropriate preventive and predictive maintenance activities.

Job Responsibilities Project Engineering - Lead the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Reliability Improvement and Development of Predictive Maintenance Program - Drive initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency. Develop and implement a predictive maintenance program, including data collection, analysis, and proactive maintenance strategies. Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to identify areas for improvement and reduce downtime.
Technical Training & Support for Maintenance Department: Provide ongoing technical training to maintenance personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge. Offer hands-on support and guidance in troubleshooting complex issues. Assist with development of training materials and programs tailored to the specific needs of the department.
Documentation, Drawings, & CAD: Create, update, and maintain detailed technical documentation, including engineering drawings, schematics, and CAD models. Ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant with industry standards. Facilitate easy access to and proper organization of these materials for reference by relevant teams.

- Working knowledge of hydraulics, power transmission, metallurgy, tribology, manufacturing practices, preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Knowledge of paper manufacturing processes desirable.
Work Environment This job operates in a production environment. The employee is exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes and odors.
Physical Demands The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, climb and/or balance, to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, enter confined spaces, scale heights, is exposed to extreme temperatures, and the needs to have the ability lift up to 50lbs.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, with overtime as needed.
Minimum Requirements: Experience: Five (5) years relevant experience in maintenance and/or project work.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
Employment Terms - Full time, Exempt position
- Salary range: $120,000-150,000 DOE.
