This position primarily involves caring for cardiac patients at both the West Los Angeles and Sepulveda VA facilities.Key Responsibilities:Diagnose, treat, and provide follow-up care for inpatient and outpatient cardiac patients.Collaborate with the medical team to manage heart failure, pacemaker/ICD devices, and other cardiac conditions.Perform exercise tolerance tests and manage patients with complex cardiac diagnoses.Document patient care, diagnoses, treatment plans, and outcomes using the CPRS system.Prescribe medications and medical equipment as needed.Provide health education and preventive care to patients and families.Ensure compliance with VA guidelines and safety standards.Minimum Qualifications:Graduation from an accredited nursing programActive nursing license in at least one U.S. stateAt least 1 year of direct patient care experience in cardiology within the last 3 yearsCurrent certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNPC-AG) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP)Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart AssociationProficiency in English (spoken and written)Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple prioritiesAbility to lift up to 40 lbs and carry objects up to 10 feetIf you are passionate about providing exceptional care to our nation's veterans and meet the qualifications, we encourage you to apply today!Employment type: Full-timeJob function: Health Care ProviderIndustries: Hospitals and Health Care#J-18808-Ljbffr
