Title: Marketing and Communication Specialist
Location: Wabasha
FLSA Status: Full-time, hourly non-exempt
FTE: 1.0
Salary Range: $27.40 - $29.81/hourly

Purpose:
The Marketing and Communications Specialist is responsible for creating engaging content for both internal and external audiences, supporting the development and execution of marketing materials and campaigns, and crafting impactful human-interest stories using a trauma-informed approach. This role focuses on building strong internal relationships to ensure effective communication that aligns with marketing objectives, spreads brand awareness and drives organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Build strong relationships to capture and produce compelling content for internal and external audiences, while providing communication support to internal teams.
  • Manage the client story-gathering process with a trauma-informed approach.
  • Craft compelling human-interest stories by identifying subjects, conducting interviews and developing narratives that resonate with the target audience.
  • Capture photos and videos for communication materials and coordinate with external vendors to ensure high-quality, timely deliverables.
  • Manage and maintain content storage, and organization, and Release of Information processes.
  • Develop, produce, and optimize the internal newsletter and staff intranet portal.
  • Leverage SharePoint data to enhance internal communications and make informed recommendations.
  • Manage social media community engagement and responses.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Demonstrated creative thinker and storyteller.
  • Ability to foster strong relationships and collaborate to achieve outcomes.
  • Strong organization and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Dedication to treating individuals with respect and empowering them to share their stories.
  • Software experience in the following or similar platforms:
    • SharePoint
    • Asana
    • MailChimp
    • Adobe Creative Suite
    • Canva
    • Marketing Analytics tools
Education and Experiences:
  • Three to five years of relevant marketing and communications experience.
  • Experience working with creative partners (designers, writers, and agencies) to coordinate projects to fit smoothly into the organization's existing processes and timelines.
Additional Requirements:
  • Must not be actively receiving services from Guild Incorporated and must not have received services within the last two years.
  • Valid Class 'D' Driver's License, reliable vehicle, satisfactory driving record and necessary insurance.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to operate a computer and other office equipment.
