Duties: Responsible for developing business, data, systems, and infrastructure models to develop enterprise architectures. Develops plans for migrating architectures. Develops technical reference models to include hardware/software standards. Engineers integrated hardware and software solutions to meet mission requirements.
Education: Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field. A Masters Degree in information technology is a plus.
General Experience: Experience performing architecture related work on at least five (5) IT systems.
Specialized Experience: Experience performing a significant role in all aspects of architecture related work on at least two (2) large IT systems.
Personnel Preferred Experience
1. 5 years experience as a systems architect
2. Demonstrated progression in responsibilities and roles, with experience in designing and implementing complex IT solutions within the Transportation Industry.
3. Expert level knowledge or experience in enterprise-level modeling and tools (ex. UML)
4. Experience building solutions in MS Azure
5. Active PMP certification
6. Active mid to advanced cloud certification (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.).
7. 6 years experience with MS Power Platform.
Substitution of Education for Experience
A bachelors degree or higher may be substituted for the general and specialized experience for those labor categories requiring a High School Diploma. A masters degree may be substituted
for two years of general and specialized experience for those labor categories requiring a bachelors degree. Substitution shall be reviewed and approved by the State at its discretion.
Substitution of Experience for Education
A. Substitution of experience for education may be permitted at the discretion of the State.
B. Substitution of Professional Certificates for Experience:
C. Professional certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, SQL Certified Database Administrator) may be substituted for up to two (2) years for general and specialized
experience at the discretion of the State.
