Job Responsibilities Coordinate the activities of the South Carolina American Revolution Sestercentennial Commission (SC250). Develops and enhances positive relationships both internally and externally, especially with local 250 committees, governmental and other NGOs. This will include coordinating with each entity to ensure questions and attention is given to appropriate SC250 member. Assist in recruiting and coordination volunteers. Assist in the management of the Commission's finances, budgets, audits, A/Rs and A/ps and fiscal relationship with our agency partners. Manage the Commission's events and representing the Commission at events. Planning and coordinate of programs and their activities including keeping the programs on schedule and functioning smoothly. Coordinate program communications. Assist in managing staff work assignments, workload, and work schedule to include providing support for the Director, Grants Manager, Site Project Manager and Commission activities and committees. Work with staff and Ad Agency for marketing, branding, social activities that promote both the SC250 and programs. Daily administrative tasks will include filing, correspondence, documentation, minute taking, FIOA compliance and Commission meeting preparations.
This role requires excellent time management and communication skills, as the position will collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver results on deadlines.
Ultimately, the SC250 Coordinator's duties are to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget and meet high quality standards with a positive attitude for all stakeholders
Minimum and Additional Requirements Associates Degree or higher. Ability to communicate in a clear and effective manner both orally and in writing. Ability to articulate the reasons and goals for the SC 250 Commission and its plans and programs; edit and publish quarterly newsletter; monitor and respond to on-line content. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle in South Carolina.
Preferred Qualifications - Proven work experience as a Coordinator or similar role
- Experience in project management, from conception to delivery
- An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
- Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
- Hands-on experience with program and teamwork flow programs (Trello, Click up, Hive)
Additional Comments Position requires travel around the state to make presentations and to attend selected events such as conventions and general meetings. Overnight stays are generally not necessary. Must have or be able to obtain a valid S.C. driver's license.
