Market Manager's Mission

Requirements
Essential Functions
- Build relationships with customers and along with Team Players provide superior customer service
- Promote product sales by providing customers with information needed to make product decisions
- Promote large quantity meat sales for individuals, organizations and large events
- Promote large quantity meat sales for individuals, organizations and large events
- Receive and inspect meat to insure quality and value
- Maintain sanitation and food safety
- Ensure the safe operation of all tools and machinery
- Rotate products and effectively merchandise the service and self-serve meat cases to maximizes sales
- Prepare all varieties and cuts of fresh meat to expected high standards
- Maintain a high level of quality regarding freshness and trim
- Introduce new marketing ideas by being innovative in product development
- Assist in setting accurate retail prices considering trim and other factors that influence retail prices of fresh meats
Education, Knowledge and Experience
- Several years of successful meat fabrication, meat merchandising
- Possess a thorough overall knowledge of all value added products, i.e., quality and ingredients
- Basic knowledge of technologically based equipment
- Ability to understand and use all needed machinery
Physical and Other Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, squat, reach overheard and side-to-side for an extended period of time
- Must be able to move safely around equipment and possess dexterity in hands and fingers
- As dictated by business and need, must be able to work extended hours and varying work schedule
