About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join a dynamic team supporting a leading global manufacturer of industrial gas turbines. This role focuses on maintaining and optimizing network connectivity services, with responsibilities spanning troubleshooting, configuration, and collaborating with engineering teams to enhance the performance and reliability of complex network infrastructures.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, a passion for problem-solving, and a proactive approach to network management.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide second and third-layer network support, focusing on connectivity issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity problems, identifying and addressing root causes.
• Configure, test, and maintain secure network tunnels, including IPSec, Wireguard, and GRE.
• Analyze Ethernet traffic dumps, identifying anomalies and implementing resolutions.
• Design and document network schemas to outline delivered services.
• Optimize and manage Linux-based platforms for remote connections.
• Collaborate with a team of network engineers to develop and iterate connectivity solutions.
• Use tools such as tcpdump, Wireshark, and iperf for troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Work on advanced firewall and appliance configurations (e.g., VyOS, Palo Alto, Cisco).
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Network Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, including:
• Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching and routing.
• Network tunneling (IPSec, Wireguard, GRE).
• Linux operating systems and Iptables.
• Strong diagnostic skills to troubleshoot and resolve production connectivity issues.
• Familiarity with tools such as tcpdump, Wireshark, and iperf.
• Proven ability to work independently and resolve complex technical problems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Cisco and Juniper networking devices.
• Knowledge of firewalls and network appliances (e.g., VyOS, Palo Alto, Cisco).
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
