About the Position/Project:

Optomi, in partnership with an industry leading client, are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Operations Lead responsible for delivering high-quality network performance for users and applications across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. This role requires expertise in managing both traditional and cloud-based network technologies, with a strong emphasis on cloud networking. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in network operations, driving innovation, and delivering reliable, high-performance network solutions in a global environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure delivery of stable and reliable network services, meeting optimized SLAs, and ensuring timely execution of projects, incidents, changes, and requests.
  • Maintain operational excellence through timely network equipment upgrades, development of Standard Operating Procedures, and regular reporting on operational performance.
  • Lead resolution of network-related major incidents and ensure quick recovery in disaster scenarios.
  • Drive network performance optimization for hybrid user bases and mission-critical applications.
  • Proactively identify and resolve network performance issues through monitoring, alerting, and continuous analysis.
  • Address underlying problems impacting network uptime and drive effective resolutions.
  • Enhance agility and performance by automating manual operational activities, particularly in cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Operations, Global Information Security, and Workplace Technology to deliver optimal end-to-end solutions.
  • Mentor and guide the team in adopting new network and cloud technologies.


Must-Have Skills/Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in traditional and cloud-based networking, including at least two years of team management.
  • Proven expertise in cloud-based networking, with certifications in relevant cloud and networking technologies.
  • Strong experience in managing global network environments with advanced technical expertise in the following areas:
  • Cloud Networking: Virtual Networks, VPN Gateway, DNS, Traffic Manager/Route 53, Express Routes, Load Balancers, Private Links, Private Endpoints, Network Flow Logs, WAFs.
  • Software-Defined WAN, Peering Points, Remote Access Services/VPN.
  • Content Delivery Networks (e.g., Cloudflare, CloudFront, Imperva).
  • Web Content Filtering (e.g., Zscaler).
  • IP Addressing/DDI (Schemas, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, IPAM) using Infoblox.
  • Cisco routing/switching.


Highly Preferred Skills:

  • Wireless technologies, wireless controllers, switches, firewalls.
  • Cisco ISE, Network Access Controls, Authentication, SSE, Zero Trust Network Access.
  • Network Routing & Segmentation.
  • Monitoring tools: SolarWinds, Thousand Eyes, Cisco DNA, PRTG.


Soft Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and unexpected situations while managing competing demands effectively.
  • Strong confidentiality, prioritization, and teamwork abilities.


Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Relevant cloud and networking certifications are required.
