25-Person Development-Stage Medical Device Class III start-up company.

Venture & Strategic-backed, with over 75MM raised to date in 2 rounds.

Product is enrolling quickly through IDE clinical trial, and expecting US commercial launch later in 2025.

The CFO will be responsible for all financial planning activities, controller activities, including analyzing the current strengths and weaknesses and proposing corrective actions where needed

Responsibilities

• Drive the company’s financial planning/resourcing
• Evaluate and participate in the organization’s fundraising plans and capital structure
• Perform risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments
• Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
• Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations
• Supervise all finance personnel (controllers, treasurers etc.)
• Manage vendor relationships (Bill.com)
• Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports
• Ensure compliance with the law and company’s policies
• Help prepare organization for commercial product launch, including gross margin average sale price control.

Requirements and skills

• Proven experience as CFO or relevant role
• MUST HAVE: Medical Device experience
• Start-up experience preferred, with Successful exit or IPO experience highly preferred
• In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
• Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software
• Ability to strategize and solve problems
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and people skills
• BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
• Compensation and work location: Commensurate with experience. Salary, Bonus, Equity Package
• Hybrid position: 3-4 days in-office per week.
