We are looking for a professional Director of Operations to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission. As a Director of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in overall management of the company’s operational processes. This includes setting and implementing strategies, ensuring operational efficiency, overseeing production, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The role requires a combination of leadership, strategic thinking, and operational expertise to optimize workflows and improve productivity across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Strategy: Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency and meet company goals. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure success.
- Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in operational processes and lead initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
- Team Leadership: Manage and lead cross-functional teams, ensuring collaboration across departments such as production, logistics, customer service, and IT. Provide coaching, mentorship, and training to team members to drive performance.
- Budget & Financial Management: Oversee the operations budget, ensuring resource allocation aligns with company goals. Develop cost-saving strategies and ensure the department stays within budget.
- Risk Management: Ensure operational compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies. Manage risk and ensure business continuity plans are in place.
- Vendor & Supplier Management: Establish and maintain relationships with key vendors and suppliers. Negotiate contracts and manage performance to ensure quality standards are met.
- Reporting & Analysis: Provide regular reports on operational performance, challenges, and opportunities to senior leadership. Use data and insights to drive decision-making and improve operational outcomes.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovation and ensuring that teams are constantly learning and evolving.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant experience in a similar role.
- Proficient in operational management software and data analysis tools
- In-depth understanding of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Six Sigma, Lean Management, or similar certifications may be an asset.
