Role: Associate Attorney

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Job Type: Fulltime - Onsite

The successful candidate will have 2-7 years of personal injury (product liability, auto accidents, negligence, mass torts, toxic torts), including drafting discovery and pleadings, taking depositions, and arguing motions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Handle personal injury case files from start to finish, including client contact, reviewing medical records, drafting complaint, answering discovery, taking depositions
• Comfortable drafting complaints, motions, discovery responses, demand letters, other pleadings, and other legal documents
• Ability to perform legal research and review medical records
• Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, fact witnesses and medical providers to gather information and take depositions of same individuals
• Argue discovery and dispositive motions
• Document and update the status of all case files in the case management system
• Work one on one with paralegals assigned to files
• Special projects and duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and a J.D. degree is required
• Pennsylvania law license is mandatory
• 2-7 years of experience in personal injury litigation (product liability, auto accidents, negligence, mass torts, toxic torts)
• A good understanding of personal injury law/ tort law, medical terminology, products liability law
• Superb research and writing skills
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
