Job Summary
We seek an experienced DDC Controls Manager to lead the design, installation, and commissioning of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Direct Digital Controls (DDC) for large-scale commercial and industrial projects in Ellensburg, WA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented leader with a strong technical background in HVAC control systems. The right candidate will oversee cutting-edge BAS/DDC projects, optimizing building performance, energy efficiency, and system integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire BAS/DDC installations project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, project schedules, and budget constraints.
- Oversee system integration and commissioning for HVAC controls, chillers, boilers, VFDs, and advanced building automation platforms.
- Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, and field teams to troubleshoot system issues, optimize performance, and drive successful project execution.
- Utilize Bluebeam, Autodesk (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks), MS Project, and Trimble AutoBid for project documentation, design reviews, and scheduling.
- Monitor project financial performance, track budgets, and provide regular updates to stakeholders to maintain profitability and efficiency.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in BAS/DDC project/service management, focusing on commercial HVAC controls.
- Expertise in Tridium Niagara, Johnson Controls Metasys, BACnet, Alerton, Distech, Trane, and Schneider Electric control systems.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, Trimble AutoBid, and Autodesk software (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks), along with MS Project for project tracking and coordination.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders.
- Local and stable work history demonstrating reliability and knowledge of industry standards in the Ellensburg, WA market
