HR Specialist (Employee Engagement & Performance)

Driggs Search International has been retained by a leading Utah based company to identify a dynamic HR Specialist (Employee Engagement & Performance) who will play a key role in shaping company culture, optimizing onboarding processes, and driving performance management initiatives. Reports To: HR Manager / Director of Human Resources

Job Type: Full-Time

The Opportunity:

Our client is seeking an experienced HR professional with a passion for building high-performing teams and enhancing the employee experience. In this role, the HR Specialist will lead initiatives focused on employee engagement, onboarding, pay analysis, and performance management. This position offers the opportunity to contribute strategically while working hands-on to improve HR processes and company culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Engagement & Culture:

  • Develop and execute engagement strategies that foster a strong company culture and increase employee satisfaction.
  • Conduct surveys, analyze feedback, and partner with leadership to implement data-driven improvements.
  • Coordinate recognition programs, company-wide events, and team-building activities that promote a positive work environment.

Onboarding & Employee Experience:

  • Oversee and continuously improve the onboarding experience to ensure seamless integration for new hires.
  • Partner with hiring managers to create structured onboarding plans that align with business objectives.
  • Conduct new hire check-ins and implement feedback loops to refine the onboarding process.

Compensation & Pay Analysis:

  • Assist in salary benchmarking and market analysis to ensure competitive and equitable pay structures.
  • Support compensation planning, salary adjustments, and performance-based pay strategies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on pay trends and best practices.

Performance Management & Development:

  • Administer the company’s performance review process, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Provide training and support to managers and employees on performance management best practices.
  • Collaborate on career development initiatives, identifying growth opportunities and training programs.

HR Operations & Compliance:

  • Ensure HR policies and processes are in compliance with labor laws and industry regulations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and contribute to workforce planning and retention strategies.
  • Assist in the implementation and optimization of HRIS and performance management tools.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of HR experience with a focus on employee engagement, onboarding, performance management, or compensation.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a talent for relationship-building.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience interpreting HR metrics to drive improvements.
  • Experience with HRIS and performance management tools is a plus.
