Pride Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility in Foothill Ranch, CA. This is a 22-week contract with the potential for an extension and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization.
Specific Duties:
- Gathers clinical data.
- Accurately completes and maintains medical records and documentation.
- Maintains exam rooms and pod areas. Prepares, stocks, and clean rooms.
- Prepares and administers medications directed by the provider and within their scope of practice as outlined by the California Medical Board.
- Schedules and informs patients regarding procedures.
- Collects and handles specimens/ cultures following established policies and procedures.
- Follows pain management protocols.
- Prepares patients for procedures and assists providers.
- Locates and uses equipment required for patient care in a safe manner and reports any equipment problems promptly.
- Performs tests and controls for CLIA Waived testing according to policy and procedures.
- Knowledgeable and able to perform procedures requiring clean and/or sterile technique.
- Follows sterile instrument processing protocol.
- Completes patient referrals.
- Identifies and completes Insurance preauthorization process as required.
- Knowledgeable regarding required forms.
- Maintains supplies and equipment for treatments and assists in managing inventory. U
- Ability and willingness to float to other OMP clinics.
Must have qualifications/experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Medical Assistant.
- High school graduate or GED.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Current CPR and / or BLS certification.
- Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification.
- EMR experience.

Hourly Pay: $21 - $23/hour
