Azure Data Engineer Need

C2H / Contract role
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage effective working relationships with other departments, groups, and personnel to coordinate and interface work.
- Collaborate efficiently with ETL architects to understand business requirements and transform data to meet end-user needs.
- Assist in designing the overall ETL architecture and proactively contribute to the implementation and automation of ETL flows.
- Investigate and mine data to identify and address potential issues within ETL pipelines and propose appropriate solutions.
- Design, develop, and manage ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Snowflake tools.
- Build idempotent ETL processes to ensure that interrupted or failed processes can be rerun without errors.
- Work with Snowflake Virtual Warehouses and automate data pipelines using Snowpipe.
- Manage and capture changes in data dimensions using Snowflake’s stream sets and schedule tasks.
- Optimize data movement across all stages, from source to storage, ensuring accelerated response times for database queries.
- Design and implement efficient orchestrators to schedule jobs, execute workflows, and perform data quality checks while managing task dependencies.
- Conduct routine testing on databases, data flows, and pipelines, including performing root cause analysis and resolving production issues.
- Document implementation strategies, test cases, and deployment plans, contributing to CI/CD processes.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, focusing on Data Warehousing.
- 2+ years of experience building pipelines with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- 5+ years of experience developing ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter, SSIS, ADF, or similar tools.
- 5+ years of experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or Snowflake.
- 3+ years of experience writing stored procedures using Oracle PL/SQL, SQL Server T-SQL, or Snowflake SQL.
- 2+ years of experience using GitHub, SVN, or similar source control systems.
- 2+ years of experience processing structured and unstructured data.
- Familiarity with HL7 and FHIR standards and processing files in these formats.
- 3+ years of experience analyzing project requirements and creating detailed ETL specifications.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on optimizing data pipelines.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a related field (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science, Analytics, etc.).
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years of experience with batch or PowerShell scripting.
- 2+ years of experience with Python scripting.
- 3+ years of experience with data modeling in a data warehouse environment.
- Experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (specifically Data Integration).
- Experience with designing and building APIs in Snowflake and ADF (e.g., REST, RPC).
- Familiarity with State Medicaid / Medicare / Healthcare applications.
- Azure certifications related to data engineering or analytics.
- Healthcare (Medicaid) experience combined with strong expertise in Azure and Snowflake will make you a standout candidate.
- Proven experience in building highly efficient ETL processes and optimizing large-scale data movements.
- The ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable solutions for complex data challenges.
Top 3 Must-Have Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering with a focus on Data Warehousing.
- 2+ years of experience building pipelines in Azure Data Factory (ADF).
