GL Staffing is currently working with a trusted home construction company specializing in high-quality residential projects. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Supervisor to join the team and help oversee the successful execution of our home construction projects.
Salary: $70,000 -75,000 per year
Job Summary: The Residential Construction Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily operations on residential construction sites, managing a team of skilled workers, ensuring the project meets specifications, timelines, and quality standards, and maintaining a safe working environment. Key Responsibilities: Residential Construction Supervisor
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of residential construction sites, ensuring the project runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Supervise, motivate, and lead a team of construction workers, subcontractors, and other personnel.
- Manage project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to ensure construction meets design specifications.
- Maintain open communication with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project status and address any issues.
- Review and enforce safety protocols to minimize accidents and ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Coordinate material deliveries and manage inventory to ensure all necessary supplies are available.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any on-site issues or challenges promptly.
- Assist with training and developing team members, providing leadership and guidance for skill advancement.
Qualifications: Residential Construction Supervisor
- 5+ years of experience in residential construction, including a strong understanding of building materials, methods, and tools.
- Previous leadership experience as a foreman, lead carpenter, or in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of construction project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and logistics.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications.
- Proven ability to manage a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid knowledge of local building codes, OSHA regulations, and safety protocols.
- Proficiency with construction tools, equipment, and technology.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications in construction management is a plus.
