An ideal candidate will have commercial design experience, a desire to lead and innovate. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a comparable degree from a CIDA-accredited university
• 3+ years of commercial furniture design experience OR 7+ years of commercial design experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Preferred experience in CET and/or CAP 2020
• Experience in specification, project management, and/or professional certifications (NCIDQ, WELL, LEED, etc.) is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of junior designers (2-3) by assigning projects, providing training, conducting audits, leading team meetings, and performing quarterly performance reviews
• On-location workdays are highly preferred to support mentorship and training; hybrid arrangements may be negotiated
• Take the lead on mid-to-large-scale projects, including new business development, bids, and existing client work
• Collaborate with A&D firm partners alongside the sales team to foster relationships and oversee project execution
• Engage directly with clients or work in coordination with the sales team, depending on project needs
• Travel for in-person client meetings within the designated service area
• Develop client deliverables, including 2D plans, 3D color renderings, presentations, and project documentation
• Work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure project success from initiation to completion
• Generate accurate specifications, budgets, and quotes for clients
• Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements
