Job Description

Our client, a manufacturer of high-end goods, has an exciting role for a Director of Sales. This role offers the opportunity to join a well-established organization poised for growth in a dynamic and competitive market. Reporting directly to the COO and serving as part of the leadership team, this position encompasses responsibility for driving revenue growth across direct sales, national accounts, and international markets.


The Director will lead the sales team, aligning sales objectives with broader business goals, while being accountable for revenue performance across multiple channels. This position involves close collaboration with executive leadership to integrate sales strategies into broader business initiatives and with the Director of Sales Operations to effectively execute revenue goals.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all direct sales, national accounts, and international sales efforts.
  • Inspire, coach, and mentor the sales team to ensure peak performance and attainment of individual and collective goals.
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to optimize strategies and results.
  • Cultivate relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to enhance business growth.
  • Regularly assess and report on sales performance metrics and pipeline management, ensuring alignment with revenue goals.
  • Work with the Director of Sales Operations and with Finance to set and manage the sales budget, including allocation of resources and managing costs.
  • Identify and capitalize on market opportunities, including expansion into new regions or sectors.
  • Ensure a high level of collaboration between sales and other departments to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Create and reinforce a culture of accountability within the sales team.


Qualifications

  • The successful candidate is a dynamic leader with the proven ability to build and lead high-performing sales teams, drive strategic initiatives, and deliver measurable results. This role requires a balance of strategic vision and tactical execution to optimize sales.


Desired Experience:

  1. Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in a senior sales leadership role with demonstrated success managing sales teams and driving revenue growth.
  2. Experience leading national and international sales efforts, with a proven track record of success.
  3. Background in selling physical products, ideally in a manufacturing, distribution, or logistics & shipping environment.
  4. Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  5. Proficiency in CRM systems and sales performance platforms (Salesforce or similar).
  6. Excellent strategic planning, communication, and negotiation skills.
  7. Strong analytical skills with a focus on performance data and metrics.


Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
