Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

Location: Plattsburgh, NY

Job Type: 16 Weeks Contract

Shifts: 0700-1930, rotating days off

Position Overview:

The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) will assist in providing high-quality care in the operating room, supporting both patients and surgical staff. This role is perfect for professionals with experience in circulating and scrubbing during various surgical procedures, including vascular and ortho-spine surgeries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room : Ensure the sterile field is set up, instruments are sterilized, and supplies are ready for surgery.
• Circulate and scrub : Assist in both circulating and scrubbing during surgeries, with a preference for experience in vascular and ortho-spine procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning : Support the surgical team in positioning patients appropriately for surgery.
• Monitor patient safety : Ensure the safety of patients during surgeries, adhering to all safety and infection control protocols.
• Assist with instrumentation : Provide instruments to surgeons during the procedure and handle surgical tools as needed.
• Document accurately : Maintain accurate surgical records and patient charts.
• Collaborate with the surgical team : Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Qualifications:

• Certifications : Surgical Tech Certification through NBSTSA , BLS , and NY State License required.
• Experience : Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a surgical technologist, with proficiency in vascular and ortho-spine surgeries.
• Skills : Ability to circulate and scrub, with a preference for experience in total joint and orthopedic procedures .
