Production Planner

Our client is a leading company in manufacturing; they are seeking a highly organized and experienced Production Planner to join their dynamic team.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring the flow of work and materials within or between departments of the manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will ensure that all production objectives are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Focus:

  • Develop and manage detailed production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company's productive capacity.
  • Analyze and prepare documents needed for production.
  • Data analysis and decision-making to support raw material supply and finished goods demand.
  • Maintains the production schedule and other reports as required.
  • Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite the flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation.
  • Complete status reports for production progress, work in process, and raw material inventory.
  • Interact with shop floor management on a regular basis to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies or additional information as requested from Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Accounting.


Skill Set:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • At least five years of experience in production planning within a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong preference for candidates with APICS certification or equivalent.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experienced in managing Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
  • Excellent skills in project management, including planning, organizing, and tracking multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
