Job Title: Sr. UI Frontend Developer

Location: 100% onsite in Irvine, CA (candidates should already be local to SoCal)

Job Type: Direct-hire

Compensation: $120,000 to 150,000 (based on experience)

We are partnered with a client who is looking for a passionate and innovative Senior Frontend Software Engineer to join a medical device startup and drive the development of cutting-edge software solutions for the healthcare industry. In this role, you will partner with cross-functional teams to build scalable, reliable, and intuitive software that directly impacts the lives of patients and healthcare providers. Your work will be pivotal in delivering medical-grade software that meets the unique needs of our client's users.

Strategic Leadership & Product Development

  • Lead the analysis, design, implementation, and verification of software for a groundbreaking medical device.
  • Architect and build high-quality front-end software that adheres to strict medical device standards.
  • Transform application storyboards and use cases into polished, fully-functional applications.
  • Develop clean, reusable, and efficient code that sets a high bar for quality and performance.
  • Collaborate with backend developers to ensure seamless interface integration.
  • Produce testable, maintainable code based on detailed design specifications.
  • Document software design, implementation steps, and test plans with precision.
  • Work with project managers and stakeholders to identify and prioritize new features and applications that drive innovation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with product managers and engineering teams to define requirements, architecture, and user interfaces for next-gen software solutions.
  • Conduct peer code reviews to ensure best practices and maintain high-quality standards across the team.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Play an active role in product requirement development and participate in risk management reviews.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software issues throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in software development.

Team Leadership

  • Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior software engineers, helping them grow in their careers as they grow the team
  • Champion a culture of innovation, collaboration, inclusion, and customer-centric focus.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in UX/UI software development, with a passion for building seamless, user-friendly interfaces.
  • Expertise in front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related libraries.
  • Proficiency with the Angular, React or Vue, especially in multi-threaded GUI development.
  • Familiarity with database technologies like PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or MongoDB.
  • Skilled in writing cross-browser compatible code that delivers consistent experiences.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and object-oriented principles.
  • Experience with version control using Git.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and software development cycles.
  • Familiarity with medical device regulations and standards is a bonus!
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, a sharp attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong communication skills-both written and verbal-ensuring clarity and alignment with stakeholders.
