Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Service Bartender with 2+ years of experience to craft and serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and manage bar supplies. You must have the ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

The  Sophia Steak Chicago  Bartender’s responsibilities include preparing and serving drinks and maintaining a well-stocked and organized bar. Potential candidates must have extensive knowledge of fine dining drink preparation and the ability to handle high-volume service efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process drink orders from the service well.
  • Prepare and serve liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic beverages.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
  • Set up and break down the bar area, including garnishes and snacks.
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings and stay informed about new menu items.
  • Comply with all health, safety, and labor regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous bartender experience required; fine-dining experience preferred.
  • BASSET and ServeSafe Food Handlers Certification required.
  • Extensive knowledge of fine dining drink preparation and service.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle high-volume service efficiently.
  • Proficient with Point of Sale systems and basic math skills.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks related to bar operations.
