Job Title: Superintendent – Healthcare Projects

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL

Salary Range: $95,000 - $130,000 per year

Position Overview:

The Superintendent will play a key role in managing and coordinating all on-site activities for healthcare construction projects. From initial ground-breaking to final inspection, you will ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You will be the on-site leader, responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, supervising subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage all phases of healthcare construction projects, ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, and timelines.
• Coordinate job site activities, including managing subcontractors, vendors, and material deliveries.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and regulations on every project site.
• Monitor project progress, resolve issues promptly, and report to the Project Manager on the status of the job.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is completed to the highest quality standards.
• Ensure effective communication between all parties—clients, project teams, subcontractors, and vendors—to keep projects moving forward smoothly.
• Oversee project documentation, including daily logs, timekeeping, and change orders.
• Maintain a positive, efficient, and safety-conscious work environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, with a focus on healthcare or medical facility projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing the construction of healthcare facilities such as hospitals, medical offices, and clinics.
• Strong understanding of healthcare construction requirements, codes, and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
• Proven leadership skills with a strong ability to manage teams and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of construction management software and project scheduling tools.
• OSHA 30-hour certification and other relevant safety certifications preferred.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
