Our client is a Fortune 250 global industrial manaufacturer. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Engineering to join their dynamic team. (Please note this position requires extensive experience in hydraulics technologies)


Position Overview:

The Director of Engineering will be responsible for leading and managing the engineering department, with a focus on hydraulic pumps and hydraulic systems. This role requires a deep understanding of hydraulic principles, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive innovation and excellence in our engineering processes.


Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the engineering team, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure the successful execution of projects.

- Oversee the design, development, testing, and implementation of hydraulic pumps and systems.

- Develop and implement engineering strategies, objectives, and processes to meet company goals and customer requirements.

- Collaborate with other departments, including R&D, manufacturing, and sales, to ensure seamless integration of engineering solutions.

- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, performance, and reliability.

- Manage engineering budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and advancements in hydraulic systems to maintain a competitive edge.

- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the engineering team.


What we are seeking:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

- Minimum of 12 years of experience in engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the hydraulics industry.

- In-depth knowledge of hydraulic pumps, hydraulic systems, and related technologies.

- Proven track record of successfully leading engineering teams and managing complex projects.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

- Proficiency in engineering software and tools, such as CAD, FEA, and simulation software.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
