Human Resources Generalist
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated HR professional to manage a wide range of HR duties, contributing to the success and growth of our organization. This role involves providing support in recruitment, employee relations, policy development, compliance, and performance management, ensuring a positive and efficient workplace environment
Key Responsibilities:
Recruiting and Staffing:
- Oversee the recruitment process for both exempt and non-exempt positions.
- Lead new employee orientations and ensure smooth onboarding.
- Manage job postings and advertising for open positions.
- Coordinate all pre-employment assessments, background checks, and other compliance procedures.
- Prepare and process all required employment documentation.
Employee Maintenance:
- Ensure personnel records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Regularly update employee information to reflect current status.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment regulations.
- Administer the compensation program and assist in job classification and pay structure maintenance.
- Track and monitor the performance evaluation process.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a liaison between employees and management to communicate HR policies, legal standards, and organizational expectations.
- Address and resolve employee complaints, conflicts, or issues, ensuring a fair and respectful workplace.
- Respond to legal or ethical concerns, including harassment or discrimination allegations, and assist in resolution.
Employment Policies and Procedures:
- Participate in staff meetings and collaborate on the development of HR strategies and programs.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of organizational charts and employee directories.
- Evaluate HR department performance, identifying opportunities for improvement in services and processes.
- Recommend changes to HR policies and practices to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Terminations and Exit Management:
- Manage the termination process, including conducting exit interviews and analyzing feedback.
- Provide recommendations to improve retention and employee satisfaction.
- Represent the company in handling unemployment claims, when necessary.

Qualifications:
- Education: Minimum of an Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or related field.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in an HR role, with a strong understanding of HR functions such as recruiting, employee relations, and compliance.
- Skills:
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Skilled in interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, and negotiation.
- High attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, prioritize tasks, and delegate when needed.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all situations.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Experience with HRIS and talent management systems, or ability to quickly learn new software.
