Our client, a leading technology firm, is seeking a Network / System Engineer to join their team. As a Network / System Engineer, you will be part of the IT Infrastructure team supporting critical operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Network / System Engineer (Plano) 2nd Shift
Location: Plano, TX
What's the Job?
- Managing and implementing end-to-end Linux based infrastructure that hosts many critical core components.
- Supporting and monitoring application infrastructure and various internal core components and dependent technologies.
- Ensuring application issues on supported infrastructures are addressed and proactively fixed.
- Providing support coverage for migration projects related to servers and applications.
- Monitoring of the Core environment components and handling incident and problem management.
What's Needed? - Expertise in Linux OS internals and operational skills.
- Knowledge in Python/Shell/Perl scripting.
- Excellent operational skills in troubleshooting production issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
- Background in large enterprise experience.
