AWS Solutions Architect

Brooksource is seeking an experienced AWS Solutions Architect to join our industry leading Fortune 70 Telecommunications client in supporting a major application undergoing modernization on the AWS platform. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in guiding the team through the challenges of this modernization journey, leveraging their expertise in AWS architecture, specifically within EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) environments. This individual will work closely with our development and testing teams to optimize and enhance our AWS infrastructure, ensuring smooth operations and driving continuous improvement.



Responsibilities:

·?????Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fine-tune and right-size the AWS environment, focusing on EKS and Kubernetes clusters.

·?????Lead environment upgrades, including Kubernetes versions and EMIs, and provide guidance on best practices for upgrading

·?????Assist in resolving production issues promptly, while proactively identifying opportunities to enhance and optimize the environment

·?????Drive capacity planning and right-sizing initiatives, optimizing deployment processes and ensuring efficient resource utilization

·?????Establish and optimize pipelines for deploying applications on AWS, leveraging tools such as GitLab and Terraform

·?????Provide leadership in FinOps, leading cost optimization efforts and ensuring efficient resource allocation



Must Have Skills:

·?????6-10 years of experience in AWS, with a proven track record of handling complex integrations

·?????Strong understanding of AWS architecture, with a focus on EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service

·?????Proficiency in GitLab, Terraform, Kubernetes, and pipeline optimization

·?????Experience in FinOps leadership, driving cost optimization initiatives



Nice to Have’s:

·?????Strong soft skills, including communication and collaboration abilities

·?????Prior experience in a similar role within the telecommunications industry

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour
