*Job Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team at a Level II Trauma Center. In this critical role, you will provide exceptional care to expectant mothers during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the health and safety of both mother and baby, utilizing your expertise in infection control, aseptic technique, and IV infusion.

*Responsibilities*
* Monitor and assess the health status of mothers and newborns throughout the labor and delivery process.
* Provide support to patients during labor, including pain management techniques and emotional support.
* Assist with the delivery of infants, ensuring adherence to safety protocols in the operating room (OR) environment.
* Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans for patients.
* Implement infection control practices to minimize risks during labor and delivery.
* Educate patients and families about postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
* Maintain accurate documentation of patient information in compliance with hospital policies.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to maternal and infant health.

*Experience*
* Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
* Previous experience in Labor & Delivery or a related inpatient setting is preferred.
* Familiarity with ICU protocols, DME (Durable Medical Equipment), sonography procedures, and assisted living environments is advantageous.
* Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control measures is essential.
* Experience with IV infusion administration is required.
