This role requires good judgment, a demonstrated work ethic, communication and relationship-building skills, and a demonstrated interest in learning about new technologies and areas of the law. This is a great opportunity to work on cutting-edge issues in an exciting, fast-moving environment.Associate General Counsel, Litigation Responsibilities Manage and drive strategy for high-profile litigation and pre-litigation matters, including privacy litigation, consumer class actions, constitutional and commercial disputes, and other content-related matters.Collaborate with and manage outside counsel.Advise cross-functional teams on litigation strategy and risks.Coordinate and actively participate in internal discovery activities in partnership with our world-class eDiscovery team.Develop novel approaches to managing legal risks and resolving disputes.Minimum Qualifications J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one U.S. state bar.8+ years of litigation experience at a law firm, government, and/or in-house role.Experience managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.Experience managing high-stakes, complex litigation.Demonstrated business judgment and client counseling skills.Preferred Qualifications Experience working with technology companies.Experience defending litigation with state and federal regulators.Experience managing class actions.Experience working with cross-functional teams, both legal and non-legal.Trial and appellate experience.For those who live in or expect to work from California if hired for this position, please click here for additional information.About Meta Meta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
