Role Overview The RN Unit Manager is essential in managing nursing operations, ensuring high-quality resident care, staff management, and regulatory compliance within our long-term care facility.

Typical Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities:

Nursing Staff Management

• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs)
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
• Ensure staff adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations
• Maintain optimal staffing levels and schedule coverage

Clinical Oversight

• Supervise resident care and uphold quality standards
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning meetings
• Conduct resident assessments and create care plans
• Monitor and ensure accurate documentation of resident care

Administrative Duties

• Manage unit operations and daily activities coordination
• Maintain accurate resident records and reports
• Ensure proper inventory and supply levels
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations
• Implement and maintain infection control protocols
• Oversee incident reporting and investigation processes

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Current RN license in the state of practice
• 3-5 years of experience in long-term care nursing
• Prior supervisory or management experience preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
