Job Details
• The registered nurse will perform direct patient/resident care and delegation to patient care technicians in providing care and comfort to the residents.
• Knowledge and compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines relating to facility care will be maintained.
• This position has basic medical/surgical knowledge to care for general surgical and orthopedic surgical patients.
• Regularly assesses patient's/client's needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician-authorized plan of care, and accepted standards of nursing practice.
• Provides direct resident care, including medication administration, treatments, call lights, assisting with transfers, responding to alarms, etc.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of the treatment plan and makes suggestions or participates in updating/revising the treatment plan in collaboration with other team members, utilizing current information to improve patient care.
• Processes physician/provider orders and performs physician-ordered care accurately, completely, and in a timely manner.
• Follows up regarding medication changes and order clarifications.

Job Requirements
• 2+ years of Med Surg Experience - Required
• Oncology Experience - Required
• ALL SCHEDULING REQUESTS MUST BE MADE AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION (Facility will NOT approve scheduling requests at/after time of offer)
• Work History
• Skills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty
• 2 Supervisory Reference Forms, taken within the last two years
• Candidates' Permanent Address (Facility will not consider local candidates - 50-mile radius restriction)

Additional Details
• Travelers for this position need to be okay floating between 2 MyMichigan hospitals in Midland and in Saginaw (32 miles apart).
• The location being applied for will be the main assigned site, but may be asked to float to the other hospital for critical staffing support.
• The intention from MyMichigan is that they will not float at all.
