Job Details
• General Information
• Beds: 39 – MICU, SICU, CICU, TICU – mixed unit
• Complex ICU patients ranging from Surgical, Medical, Cardiac, Neuro and Trauma
• Cardiac experience is required
• Patient Ratios: RN: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 (rare) – acuity dependent

Job Requirements
• 2 years of ICU experience excluding travel experience is most preferred
• Permanent staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing
• Epic experience
• Comfortability working a 48hr/week contract – this is not negotiable for this unit

Schedule Information
• Weekend rotation: Every other
• No on-call schedule
• Holiday Expectations: No RTO during holidays
• Approval of time off? Up to 7 days – must extend to accommodate a full 13-week contract. No RTO during Sturgis Bike Rally (first 3 weeks in August every year)

Unit Specific Information
• CNA: 1-2 Nurse Aide’s per unit + mobility float aide
• Charge nurse: 2 CRN’s oversee all ICUs
• RT: Yes, 24/7
• Physicians: 3 Intensivists on days, 2 on nights + APP on nights
