Family Practice/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner at TAL Healthcare summary:

The Family Practice/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner at a not-for-profit network of Federally Qualified Health Centers provides comprehensive health care services to underserved populations, including those with special medical needs. This role involves delivering high-quality primary and specialty medical, dental, and behavioral health services in culturally sensitive settings, promoting the holistic well-being of patients. Candidates require a Master's degree in nursing, certification as a Nurse Practitioner, and experience working with diverse patient populations to foster a positive healthcare experience.

Our client, a not-for-profit network of Federally Qualified Health Centers providing comprehensive health care services to under-served populations, including patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities and medically and behaviorally complex needs, i s hiring a Family Nurse Practitioner. The provide high quality primary and specialty medical, dental, rehabilitative and behavioral health services to patients of all ages and abilities, in culturally sensitive environments, without discrimination or regard to ability to p ay. Responsibilities:

  • Provide a positive experience for a special needs patient population and their caregivers at our FQHC location in Brooklyn.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of nursing
  • Master's degree in nursing
  • Completion of a state acceptable Nurse Practitioner's program; a minimum of one year's experience is desirable. National certification in specialty is preferred.
  • Licensed by the State of New York as a Registered Nurse; certified by the State of New York as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Prescriptive privileges/DEA;
  • Board Certified/Eligible with the intention of taking boards within 1 year of hire
  • BLS Certification also required
  • Medicare/Medicaid enrollment preferred
