The Staff Physician is responsible for delivering high-quality medical care to individuals with intellectual disabilities, ensuring effective clinical practices and participation in treatment teams. This role involves advocating for patients' medical needs in collaboration with families, nurse practitioners, and other medical specialists. Reporting to the Medical Director, the physician works with independence and initiative to provide necessary treatments and support to the healthcare staff.
Physician II/Mexia The Staff physician at the State Center is responsible for the effective delivery of high quality medical services to individuals with intellectual disabilities served. Work involves direct delivery of clinical practices and monitoring of medical services, participating in treatment team process, advocate for the medical needs of persons serviced, and working with the individual's families, Family Nurse Practitioners, and with consultants and community medical providers in other medical specialty areas. This position reports directly to the Medical Director of the State Supported Living Center and works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Provide treatment to HHS employees injured in course and scope of employment.
