About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to serve as the principal technology leader, providing vision and leadership for information technology strategies and initiatives. The CIO will be responsible for leading the College's commitment to the strategic use of information technology to enhance the institution's mission and improve student success. This includes managing the IT department, overseeing academic and administrative computing, networking, support services, and ensuring the College's IT policies and procedures comply with state and federal guidelines. The successful candidate will also be tasked with driving organizational innovation, fostering a client-centric culture, and developing the IT workforce to ensure high-quality service and support for educational and operational effectiveness. Candidates for the CIO position at the company should have a Master's degree in computer science or a related field, with a Bachelor's degree considered. A combination of education and experience may be accepted. The role requires a minimum of 5 years' experience in higher education leadership and management related to IT, with a strong background in IT security and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing IT departments, projects, and budgets, as well as experience in strategic planning and execution. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines. The CIO will also be expected to have a deep understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to IT in an educational setting, and to be a strategic leader with the ability to influence and manage stakeholders effectively.
