As we embark on this exciting journey, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Financial Controller to join our team and contribute to the success of this venture.
Position Overview:
As the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial health of our restaurant concepts, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with financial regulations. Working closely with the executive team, you will have the opportunity to shape financial strategy, optimize processes, and lay the groundwork for expansion. This role requires a candidate with a proven track record in financial management within the hospitality industry, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
- Provide strategic insights and financial guidance to support executive decision-making.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop financial models for expansion and new restaurant ventures.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring realistic and achievable financial targets.
- Monitor financial performance against budget and provide regular forecasting updates.
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
- Provide detailed financial analysis and reports to support management decisions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and industry standards.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to safeguard financial interests.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management:
- Manage cash flow and liquidity, optimizing working capital to support operational needs.
- Implement effective strategies for revenue maximization and cost control.
Systems & Process Improvement:
- Enhance financial systems, processes, and internal controls for efficiency and accuracy.
- Drive automation and integration of financial systems to improve reporting capabilities.
- Oversee financial software implementation and ensure proficiency across platforms.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller in the upscale hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
