About The Position Safe Fleet a leader in the truck equipment manufacturing industry, is looking for an Shipping and Receiving Associate to work as part of a team that is responsibility for producing, installing and repairing Automated Tarp Systems.
The Shipping and Receiving associate's primary responsibility is material movement, warehouse organization, and transaction process and inventory accuracy. The shipping and receiving must have a clear understanding of our product offering, material flow, and order processing. Effective communications, attention to detail, high sense of urgency, pleasant personality, a team-oriented approach, and the ability to develop multiple solutions to problems are essential skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Receive incoming product, verify accuracy of shipment, perform receiving transaction, and put product in proper location.
- Package, strap and wrap completed products in preparation of shipping.
- Keeps the shipping area clear of packing materials generated during the receiving process.
- Coordinate material supplies to all work cells and production areas.
- Move materials to and from work cells and production areas.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate with purchasing and production.
- Transaction reporting into ERP system.
- Document and communicate arrival of customer returns.
- Timely communications of any shortages or late shipment to Customer Service.
- Maintain warehouse organization and inventory accuracy.
- Observe and follow all safety policies.
- Other tasks as assigned.

- Basic word and excel is desired
QUALIFICATIONS: - Minimum 2 years forklift experience preferred but not required
- Prior MRP systems experience - preferred in Net Suite
- Working knowledge of freight market, terms, carriers, etc
- Working knowledge of shipping systems (UPS Worldship, Fedex, LTL carrier sites)
- Demonstrated ability to work professionally and productively with peers on production floor
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: - High school education or equivalent
- 1 - 3 years shipping and receiving or manufacturing experience desired but not required
