They are looking for a CFO level candidate to oversee their vast accounting department. This team member will oversee the AR/AP, project accounting team and corporate bookkeeping. Job Details

Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Oversee the monthly closing process, including the review of general ledger accounts and the preparation of journal entries.Prepare and analyze monthly labor reports, including job costing and variance analysis.Review and approve accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.Ensure accurate and timely completion of quarterly payroll tax filings.Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.Monitor and analyze project costs and profitability, including the review of work-in-progress schedules.Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and work with external auditors during year-end audits.Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies and procedures.Provide support to other departments as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.At least 3 years of experience in the construction industry with union payroll.Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.Experience with WIP closing and job costing.Knowledge of quarterly payroll taxes.Experience with general ledger closing.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.Experience with accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Sage, is preferred.
