REQUIREMENTS : High School Diploma or equivalent required. One to five years of parts counter experience is normally required. Proficiency with data terminals or PCs is required. Good communication and math skills are required. Must be able to pass company physical exam and drug screening test.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Serves customers by identifying parts needs and ordering accordingly.
Able to "visualize" all but the most difficult customers' parts requests and order quickly and correctly with consideration to tax, freight, special instructions, etc.
Orders most automatic backorders correctly.
Familiar with all reference sources related to parts sales.
Able to project professionalism by greeting customers immediately upon their arrival and servicing their needs quickly while they wait.
Familiar with most vendor items and how to order them and charge proper markup and freight.
Has working knowledge of company computer programs.
Greets customers by telephone and in person in a friendly and courteous manner and treats them with respect
Politely refers customers to the appropriate individual or department if unable to assist them.
Willingly helps and works with co-workers as needed.
Respects co-workers and is always friendly and courteous.
Exhibits behaviors that are not disruptive to co-workers or workflow.

- Know and follow all Company and customer safety rules, including maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area, and fully participating in Company accident prevention and safety improvement activities.
- Must have the physical ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including protective glasses, protective gloves, and protective clothing and footwear as required by the job.

Physical Requirements
- Pass a pre-employment background check, and physical exam including a drug screen, and meet all physical requirements for the position.
- Able to lift 20-75 pounds occasionally.
