Our Nevada Active Consulting team in Las Vegas is currently recruiting for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to serve as the subject matter expert for all behavioral interventions. The BCBA will collaborate with other members of the team on referrals received for individuals whose behavior might result in harm to self or others; emergency department evaluation, psychiatric hospital admission, involvement with law enforcement, or places them at risk for loss of home/residential.

General Responsibilities:

Guide the Active Consulting team’s behavioral interventions and activities.
Support providers in using behavior management techniques through coaching.
Develop and deliver crisis prevention training for IDD/BH providers and the community.
Respond promptly to referrals.
Conduct or oversee Functional Behavioral Assessments.
Present assessment results and best practice recommendations in meetings.
Help identify and develop BCBA and RBT staff within agencies.
Review and debrief critical safety incidents with providers.
Build provider capacity in creating and monitoring Behavior Support Plans.
Provide RBT supervision as needed.
Model person-centered care and positive behavioral supports.
Respond to emergencies promptly and appropriately.
Complete documentation on time.
Report suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation as required.
Follow all organizational standards for health, safety, and confidentiality.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) License.
Master’s degree in behavior analysis, psychology, education, social work or related field.
Minimum of 35 hours of training and education in behavior analysis and behavior supports.
Two years’ experience with behavior supports evaluation and services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Current certification in a crisis de-escalation methodology.
Valid CPR and First Aid Certification.
Valid Driver’s License and auto insurance.
Must be computer literate.
Must be experienced and competent in profession and maintain any applicable license, training and/or certifications
Must be willing to flex schedule accordingly, i.e., on-call, work evenings and weekends, to provide services, supports, and treatment to individuals as required.

Preferred:

Two years’ experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses who are in crisis;
Two years’ experience supervising RBTs and other professional staff in the provision of treatment services;
Experience in developing behavior support plans and presenting them to Human Rights or other review committees
