Job Title: Certified Surgical First Assistant

Job Location: Kalamazoo, MI 49048

Job Type: Contract

Job Duties:
* Prepare, pass, and maintain surgical instruments during procedures as directed by the surgeon
* Assist in preparing the surgical site by cleaning, sterilizing, and draping the patient to ensure a sterile environment
* Review patient history and surgical procedure details to prepare for the operation.
* Communicate effectively with surgeons, surgical technologists, anaesthesiologists, and nurses to ensure smooth operation flow.
* Operate specialized surgical equipment (e.g., electrocautery, lasers) under the guidance of the surgeon.
* Assist in monitoring the surgical site for complications, including signs of infection or bleeding, after surgery.
* Support anesthesiologists and nursing staff in monitoring the patient's vital signs during surgery.
* Maintain the integrity of the sterile field, ensuring no contamination occurs during the procedure.

Job Requirements:
* NBSTA or NCCT /ABSA
* BLS from AHA
* 1+ year of Certified Surgical First Assistant experience
* DaVinci, Robotics experience

Schedule:
* Day Shift
* 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
* 4x10
* 40 Hours Per Week
