In your role as Senior Firmware QA Engineer at Kohler Ventures you will:

• Establish testing patterns, best practices, and increase test coverage (in partnership with engineers).
• Conduct technical reviews for new features and identify quality concerns.
• Participate in various scrum meetings to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, estimates or potential problems.

Skills/Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• You hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a software QA Engineer, with at least 3 testing embedded Firmware.
• Experience with functional, regression, and end to end testing for hardware components.
• Experience with test automation tools/frameworks for hardware/firmware validation.
• Contribute and grow our existing Python automation framework to expand our test coverage.
• Collaborate with the firmware team to ensure proper firmware test capabilities for new features.
• Ability to work independently and within a testing team.
• Availability to work outside of standard business hours to be able to collaborate with teams and vendors across multiple time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge in hardware/firmware and information security for cloud and IoT devices.
• Proficient in at least one programming language.

The approved base salary range for this position is $103,950 - $145,000. The actual base salary offered to a candidate may be higher than the approved range. This will vary depending on a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. This position is subject to Area Salary Differential (Cost of Living Adjustment) that ranges from 16% of base salary for the NYC metro area. The approved base salary range including ASD for this position is $120,582 - $153,062 depending on location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and a special project incentive. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision and 401k.
