Job Description

The Floor Manager (Assistant Sales Manager) is responsible for working directly with sales people and customers to ensure the sales process runs efficiently and fast. The Floor Manager will also be responsible for monitoring sales peoples daily tasks and client pipelines as well as monitoring internet leads.
The Chris Auffenberg Auto Group has 6 stores in two states and has been in business for over 80 years with over 25 years in Southern Illinois. Floor Manager Responsibilities:
  • Work directly with Sales People to help maintain client pipelines
  • Be available to speak with clients and intervene in customer/sales people process and communication
  • Monitor web leads and internet traffic to ensure contact and appointment ratios are being met
  • Assist sales people in making phone calls, sending emails, and general customer communication
  • Assist General Sales Manager in daily tasks
  • Monitor showroom and lot for traffic
  • Be an example of professional morals, ethics, and excellent customer service
  • Work closely with sales team on enforcement of proper selling methods
  • Work with General Sales manager to set and hit metrics and goals
Floor Manager Requirements:
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Prior automotive experience required (3 years in sales or sales management)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Professional appearance and work ethic
  • Self-motivation
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
  • Clean driving record & valid driver's license
  • Proven track record of success in closing and producing
