Job Details Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Set-Up Machinist to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in setting up machines for prototype manufacturing, ensuring that each part is produced with precision and excellence. The ideal candidate will have experience with varied setups, interpreting blueprints, and keeping the machines running smoothly in a fast-paced, non-production environment.
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints and instructions to execute machining tasks.
Set up tools, fixtures, and parts for CNC machines.
Ensure proper machine setup and maintain machine operations during runs.
Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve issues during machining.
Work with Fanuc controls; familiarity with Heidenhain controls is a plus (training available).
Handle new and unique setups for each project, showcasing critical thinking and adaptability.
Monitor part quality and accuracy throughout the machining process.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a CNC set-up machinist in a prototyping environment.
Strong understanding of blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and machining principles.
Proficiency with Fanuc controls; willingness to learn Heidenhain.
Ability to work independently and think critically to solve setup and machining challenges.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Programming experience is not required, but a willingness to learn and grow is appreciated.
