Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Manage all stages of litigation including depositions, discovery, drafting and arguing motions, managing client relationships, and trial preparation.
• Handle ERISA, Employee Benefits, Managed Care, and Insurance Litigation.
• Resolve insurance coverage disputes and medical provider disputes.
• Draft and review legal briefs, opinions, and other legal documents.
• Attend court appearances and effectively represent our clients.
• Provide legal advice to clients and represent them in disputes with insurance companies.
• Manage relationships with clients, opposing counsel, judges, and court staff.
• Collaborate with our legal team to develop strategies for complex litigation cases.
• Stay updated on current laws, regulations, and industry standards related to ERISA, Employee Benefits, Managed Care, and Insurance Litigation.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law and in good standing with the state Bar.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation attorney, specifically with ERISA, Employee Benefits, Managed Care, and Insurance Litigation.
• Previous experience in judicial clerkship or as a law clerk is a plus.
• Deep understanding of health, disability, and life insurance.
• Proficiency in discovery management, brief writing, and motion practice.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
• Proficient in legal research and writing.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Must be detail-oriented, organized, and have the ability to work independently.
• Ability to travel as required for court appearances and client meetings.
