Job Title: Travel Nurse RN ED - Emergency Department
Magnet Medical is seeking a skilled travel nurse to work in the Emergency Department of our Louisville, Kentucky facility.

Responsibilities:
Triage and Patient Assessment
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and triaging patients in the emergency department. This includes evaluating patient history, conducting physical assessments, and identifying urgent health issues to prioritize care.
Emergency Care and Treatment
The nurse will administer medications, fluids, and treatments as prescribed, including intravenous (IV) fluids, antibiotics, pain management, and other emergency medications. They will also perform wound care, splinting, suturing, and other interventions as needed for trauma or injury patients.
Collaboration with Medical Team
The nurse will work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other team members to develop and implement patient care plans. They will assist with diagnostic testing, such as lab work, imaging, and electrocardiograms, based on patient needs.
Monitoring and Documentation
The nurse will continuously monitor patients' conditions, noting changes in vital signs, mental status, and symptoms. They will document all patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record.
Patient and Family Communication
The nurse will provide clear explanations to patients and their families about diagnoses, procedures, and treatment plans. They will offer emotional support to patients and families experiencing stress or anxiety due to medical emergencies.
Infection Control and Safety
The nurse will follow strict infection control protocols, including appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. They will ensure the ER environment remains safe and sterile for both patients and staff.
