  • Unit Specifics: Number of Beds: 30, Patient Ratio: 5-6 : 1, Unit staffing description - Unit clerk on days, 2-3 PCT's day & night, Nursing Supervisor, Hospitalists, Type of equipment: Welch Allyn vitals neuron, Novameter glucose, Philips Telemetry and MP2’s, Documentation system: Meditech-HCA version, Medications: WOW with med drawers, PyxisES dispensing system, Scheduling requirements: equivalent of every other weekend (4 weekend shifts/4-week schedule), Floating policy: other M/S areas: general MS, Ortho, PCU (Progressive Care Unit), M/S surgical with oncology. We rotate unless skill mix is needed, Patient Experience requirements: Bedside Rounding, Hourly Rounding with 5P’s checked.
    Job Requirements
  • Requested Skill Set: Cardiac knowledge preferred
  • Must have: ACLS/BLS
  • Advanced skills needed: Knowledge of Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone drips
  • Procedures performed on unit: Chest Tube management, wound vac management, EKG’s ad lib
  • Certifications Required: ACLS

    Additional Details
  • Dress Code: RN- Navy and CNA/PCT- ceil blue scrub set and jacket (if desired). May wear white, blue, grey, or black t-shirt underneath if desired- no graphics. No artificial or gel nails or gel nail polish
  • Unit Guidelines/Policies: Documentation of telemetry application, acknowledging rhythm strips and place in chart each shift. NO PASS ZONE for bed alarms, call lights, and IV alarms, etc.
  • Awards/Recognition: Facebook/Parkridge Medical Center page has many photos, stories, and videos, Daisy and Bee Awards, iHEAL nominations
  • Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their assignment: We have Charge Nurses with 12, 16-, and 39-year seniority on dayshift and 15+ on nightshift. Shared Governance per units and facility.
