About the Company & Senior Accountant Opportunity:
CFS is partnering with a new non profit client in the Baltimore county area. Due to year end, they are hiring a Senior Accountant / Assistant Controller, skilled in Sage Intacct, to join their medium sized accounting team on a contract to hire basis

Schedule: M-F 8/9:30am-4:30/6pm, 40 hours per week, flexible hours. After that, opportunity for hybrid work schedule (2 days work from home).

Job Duties of the Senior Accountant:
Perform all day-to-day accounting activities for the organization, including journal entries for the monthly close, accruals, prepaids, expenses, income statements, and account reconciliations.
Manage reconciliations and month-end processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Collaborate with various departments to gather and analyze financial data, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Assist in the preparation for audits for fiscal year end June 2025.
Other duties as needed to assist with the project.
Qualifications of the Senior Accountant:
Degree in Accounting, Finance or related required
Experience building reports in an ERP system, ideally Sage Intacct, highly preferred
Non profit accounting experience highly preferred
Proficient Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup, etc.)
