The Technical Training Instructor - Vehicle Products position requires someone who is dependable, flexible, highly organized, and hard working. Must have outstanding communication, presentation and organizational skills while demonstrating a positive, motivational, and professional appearance. The Technical Training Instructor - Vehicle Products will take responsibility for developing courses, mentoring Technicians and New Hires in areas of technical knowledge, procedures and promoting an atmosphere of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Develop basic and advanced technical content on a wide variety of material applicable to End of Line and other departments
- Deliver Technical Training courses in classroom and field settings using a variety of presentation formats including Instructor Led, Facilitative group learning, active hands-on learning, and functional assessments
- Collaborate with EOL Personnel to determine the effectiveness of delivered training
- Provide evaluation of courses with written and hands-on assessments
- Provide comprehensive tracking of each Student's completed and required training in Tesla specific Learning Management System (LMS)
- Learn new process skills, keeping up to date with the latest revisions of process operations, and area cross-training to allow for a flexible, efficient work team
- Ensure that New Hires and existing employees are treated with respect and having the tools and guidance to be successful
Requirements - 3 years or more automotive field experience required. End of Line experience preferred
- 2 years or more leadership experience preferred
- Certificate from an Automotive Vocational School or ASE Certifications preferred
- Experience with Tesla Vehicle products in manufacturing settings to include basic and advanced, troubleshooting, mechanical teardown and reassembly
- Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
- Experience with environmental and safety requirements a plus
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and hands-on experience with hardware, tools, instruments, and methods applicable to manufacturing technical processes
- Strong ability to work and communicate effectively with team and peers within the Training, Technicians and Engineering organizations

Expected Compensation
$30.50 - $44.84/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
